Racing is close to being finished at Maple Grove at the annual Memorial Day event in the hills outside Philadelphia PA.
The Alcohol Classes were completed with pererenial favorites Frank Manzo and Bill Reichert winning Alcohol Funny Car and Dragster respectively.
Manzo over Gill
Manzo, who had lots of problems, got his Al Anabi Monte Carlo to settle down after nothing but tire chatter over the ’09 Mustang of Paul Gill as Gill had his problems too slowing to a 6.704 to Manzo’s 5.883
One heck of a final in T/AD with Reichert over Shields
In T/AD it was the current and former champs squaring off against each other. Duane Shields was up against forever champ Bill Reichert. In what was a great final both cars left together and were welded as one going thru the lights with Reichert’s 5.452 edging out Shield’s 5.457
